Do you think you can do it? This blog is prompted by recent experiences but hopefully it rings true with my fellow queens and contestants out there. There needs to be a how-to guide for men as to what to expect at the beginning when you first meet to crowning and everything in between. 1: First time meeting- whether it’s out with friends or a blind date. Miss Daytona Beach May 1, 2011

Today I was asked to be the host of the Miss Daytona Beach USA pageant. It was an amazing experience and a great practice for the state competition. When we asked all of the traveling titleholders to come on stage I put my extemporaneous speaking skills to work and started asking the hard hitting questions, or more just name and title with a little padding here or there. Three girls were crowned tonight but all of them did such an amazing job. I can't wait to attend my next pageant in the future, having been on both sides of the spectrum it is truly a job to be an amazing titleholder!

Houston Aquarium--Shark Week

So I got the opportunity to visit the Houston Aquarium during 'Shark Week'. I have actually never been to an aquarium before so I was super excited. It was a great learning opportunity to see the different types of fish. I actually saw a blue catfish that was massive: Here fishy fishy... There was this massive eel that at first I thought was just a log in the tank until it started to move. Each type of fish was grouped within its family/species. I got the opportunity to touch a stingray and I was freaking out the entire time. There was one there that was splashing all of the participants around the pool. this one matches my carpet The sloth...or is that an eel It's Dory from Finding Nemo!!
