Seminar Weekend


Just got back from seminar day in Hollywood, Florida and it was a blast. The sessions were very informative and all of the girls are really nice that I met so far. Today, I participated in the last shooting for the prize package for Miss Florida USA 2011. I was able to model the pearl necklace that the winner receives and being an AKA myself it wasn't hard. Driving home wasn't that much of a blast due to the heavy thunderstorms but I made it home safely. Little less than a month before the pageant and I'm starting to get really excited. I started a fundraiser page (giveforward.org/alowery) to hopefully earn enough money to get a really nice dress. Check it out if you like. I'm attaching my promo photo for the jewelry enjoy!!

Miss St. Petersburg USA

Better late than never. A couple of weeks ago myself and Nicole Kelley Miss Earth Untied States attended the Miss St. Petersburg pageant across the state to cheer on our friend Collins Medlin who was competing. It was an excellent pageant and I'm happy to say that Collins won! Collins will go on to compete at the Miss Florida USA pageant this July in Hollywood, Florida. Miss Daytona Beach May 1, 2011

Today I was asked to be the host of the Miss Daytona Beach USA pageant. It was an amazing experience and a great practice for the state competition. When we asked all of the traveling titleholders to come on stage I put my extemporaneous speaking skills to work and started asking the hard hitting questions, or more just name and title with a little padding here or there. Three girls were crowned tonight but all of them did such an amazing job. I can't wait to attend my next pageant in the future, having been on both sides of the spectrum it is truly a job to be an amazing titleholder! <3 Miss West Volusia USA
