Girl Scout Bridging Ceremony May 24, 2011

I was invited to be the guest speaker at a Girl Scout Bridging Ceremony and it was a great experience. The citrus council was having their end of the year bridging event in which if their are girls moving up from Daisy to Brownie or Brownie to Junior , at this event they would transform over and meet their new troop and continue of their journey. I walked the bridge with the girls over the Halifax river and boy is that incline steep!! After we crossed we said the Girl Scout Promise and Law, both of which I knew being a Girl Scout myself (the law was kinda shaky lol). In my speech I spoke of Character, Courage, and Empowerment, most of the girls had tons of badges and I know they are going to be amazing women when they are older.

Miss St. Petersburg USA

Better late than never. A couple of weeks ago myself and Nicole Kelley Miss Earth Untied States attended the Miss St. Petersburg pageant across the state to cheer on our friend Collins Medlin who was competing. It was an excellent pageant and I'm happy to say that Collins won! Collins will go on to compete at the Miss Florida USA pageant this July in Hollywood, Florida. Miss Daytona Beach May 1, 2011

Today I was asked to be the host of the Miss Daytona Beach USA pageant. It was an amazing experience and a great practice for the state competition. When we asked all of the traveling titleholders to come on stage I put my extemporaneous speaking skills to work and started asking the hard hitting questions, or more just name and title with a little padding here or there. Three girls were crowned tonight but all of them did such an amazing job. I can't wait to attend my next pageant in the future, having been on both sides of the spectrum it is truly a job to be an amazing titleholder! <3 Miss West Volusia USA
